Together is the Guild V1 out now!


After quite some months of playtesting with my friends, and writing out all the rules, I'm proud to present Together is the Guild. TIG is a new TTRP based upon Blades in the Dark rules, but takes the setting and concepts to be more in common with High fantasy TTRPGs like D&D or PF2e. The major difference is the inclusion of Tactical Combat option!

Below a small list of changed rules in comparison to Blades In the Dark:

  • Inventory Slots instead of Load
  • Magic System
  • Updated Armour and Shield rules
  • XP Triggers are done at the end of every Session
  • New Special Abilities for all the classes.
  • No Turf.
  • Crew Members are now Guild Members and they are more considerate as unique NPCs that will help the group.
  • Heat & Wanted is now CHaos & Turmoil, and works slightly differently. Have a D30 Table with Entanglements!
  • XP Triggers are slightly different, with the inclusion of Beliefs on Character Sheets.

These are just some of the changes. The major change is the inclusion of Tactical Combat, as it was something I enjoy every so often. However, with the focus on creating the narrative rules first, it was decided to just use Pathfinder 2e combat rules as a temporary stop gap until I get some time to write a mroe comprehensive tactical combat system that fits better with Narrative Play. However, similarly, this will allow people to use whatever combat system they enjoy!

Today is also the day where I finished the first arc of the campaign done with these rules. The players enjoyed it tons! The biggest reason for making this is that I enjoy the rules of Blades In The Dark a lot, but am not so font of the dark setting, so I decided to rewrite it to fit a more high fantasy world!
