Welcome to Naiteborne, a Heroic Fantasy focused TTRPG system. In this book you will find all the rules you need to play a heroic tale inspired by games such as Final Fantasy, Octopath Traveler, Fable, Baldur's Gate and more!

Together with a group of friends, you'll overcome the deep darknesss that threatens the world, learn to trust each other and grow into formidable heroes.  However unlike these videogames, you will create a shared story with everyone at the table.

The rules are made to help drive the game forward, while keeping focus on the fiction. Just like many other systems, one person will be the Game Master, responsible for doubting the prowess of the player characters while throwing challenge upon challenge against them, however the key is to create a story together!

This book is still work in progress, spelling mistakes may be around.

Interesting Features:

  • Fiction first alternative to systems like D&D 5e, Pathfinder 2e and Daggerheart.
  • Simple D6 based rule system, with an optional D20 roll.
  • Lots of character customization, with Custom Skills Creation, Special Abilities and more!
  • No levelling system, choose one of 3 XP tracks to get more Skills, Special Abilities or Attributes!
  • Flexible magic system based on magical paths, including rituals for story breaking changes.
  • Open-World Combat and Story Combat modes with interesting rules!
  • Heroic Sacrifice to gain amazing success at a guaranteed consequence.
  • Die Heroically by doing an impossible deed, or Surrender to keep playing your character on death.
  • Cooperative Storytelling tools using Group Drives and Character Traits.

This system is inspired by other TTRPGs like Blades In the Dark, D&D 5e, PF2e, Fabula Ultima and more!

I would love to hear your thoughts or feedback in the comments.

Hey! I just stumble upon this, looking forward to see it finished.

If i'm allowed to ask, is this like a 2.0 version in the making of your other system together is the guild?

No, while they have similar settings and some sharing of rules, they are two different systems with two different ways of play.

Naiteborne is more focused on the one character in a party of heroes and flows more similar like campaigns of D&D5e, PF2e and similar.

Together is the Guild is more focused on the concept of Guilds (Crews), and plays more similarly to games like Blades in The Dark and Scum & Villany.

Oh, okay, so this is more in line with my group's taste (although they both look great!)

Thanks for answering my question, I'll keep an eye out for future updates!
